McEnnis Racing is built upon a shared love of horses and the racing community in Australia and has since evolved into a successful breeding & racing operation.

In 2013 John McDonald and Matthew Ennis decided to embark on a new racing journey and, working closely with Mitchell Bloodstock began taking shares in several colts that were earmarked as stallion prospects.

 

The results were gratifying, with Hellbent winning a Group 1, Deploy with two Group 2s and a Group 3 to his name, and Tangled a Group 2. Hellbent now stands at Stud alongside his father, I Am Invincible at Yarraman Park.

 

Today, McEnnis Racing is investing in fillies and mares to continue to increase both the quantity and quality of of their breeding stock. They work hand-in-hand with Mitchell Bloodstock who are highly skilled in racehorse conformation, and use G1 Goldmine for all pedigree analysis data. They were so enamoured with the program that they acquired the company in November 2019 and are now determined to lead the industry into a new data centric era.
